Call for Entry: IDFA Forum & Docs for Sale
IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale are looking for challenging documentaries
Entry for IDFA's two documentary markets is now open. Both the co-financing and co-production market IDFA Forum and our market for the best new creative documentaries Docs for Sale will be held during the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam this November.
The international co-financing and co-production market IDFA Forum is Europe's most important breeding ground for new documentary projects. The Forum will once again select around 50 projects for its 2017 edition, which will take place November 20-22 (with Rough Cut Screenings held November 19). The Forum is open to all documentary forms (including features, series and crossmedia projects) and there are special sections for Youth Documentaries, Arts & Culture projects and Rough Cut projects.
We invite all independent producers looking for co-financing, co-production and distribution to submit their projects. Like last year, there are no thresholds for the amount of financing already in place for any pitch category. Starting this year, the selection procedure takes place in three phases, with the deadline for the first phase a few weeks earlier than it was in previous years; more information is available in the Forum regulations and checklist for entry.
The entry form is now available through MyIDFA; the deadline for entry is August 15.
Held November 17-23 this year, Docs for Sale is one of the world’s premiere markets for documentary cinema. Every year, more than 300 TV buyers, sales agents, distributors and festival programmers convene in Amsterdam to watch a selection of the very latest and best documentaries available to the international market.
Docs for Sale welcomes creative documentaries from all over the world. Please note that while Docs for Sale is a partner in IDFA Forum's Rough Cut Projects category, entry for these projects is handled through the IDFA Forum entry form. Please read the Docs for Sale regulations carefully before starting the entry process.
The entry form is now available through MyIDFA; the deadline for entry is September 15.
More info about Italian delegation will come soon.
